I can't believe it's a whole month since I posted here. I have really enjoyed reading Hollys blog and catching up. It's a lot more fun when read all together like that, more like a story. When I have only one or two to read I feel unsatisfied and come away feeling like I want to know more, lol. I hope she is feeling better as there was no mention of her fever or lack of I will worry until I know for sure she is better.
I'm sorry to read that you are having trouble sleeping honey, seems like you are doing all the right things to correct it though like checking out stuff on Google and such. I hope that you are able to get into a better routine soon. I like your idea of getting to bed 10 minutes earlier each day. I have no advice or anything I can say to help, I wish I did. I hope you haven't got Hollys fever too. The treatments sound do-able though, I especially liked the cannabis solution, hehe.
'Cannabis has been suggested as an aid to combat DSPS. However, no research has yet been done that shows cannabis works in DSPS. Sleep onset is affected by the two primary cannabinoids. THC, Δ9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, dramatically increased melatonin production in some subjects in a small study in 1986 where the authors state that "These preliminary results are difficult to interpret". An older study showed that CBD, cannabidiol, was effective in helping insomniacs sleep. Heavy cannabis use can lead to decreased levels of REM sleep and increased levels of slow-wave sleep along with reduced mental function the next morning. However, 5 mg doses of THC and CBD have been shown not to have these effects.'
